What is Surya Shakti?
Yogasanas are the more commonly known as ‘Yoga Postures’. When we mention the word ‘Yoga’ most people immediately think of Yogasanas. Unfortunately, this has been misinterpreted by many as stretching or other exercises. It has lost touch with its original purpose and possibility of transforming the individual to reach their true potential.
Many of us live our lives very unconsciously and get into bad habits, whether its eating too much, procrastination or just take our mind off things by using distractions such as Social Media. Unfortunately this leads to a drop in awareness which slowly leads a build up of stress and an uncontrollable mind.
How Does Yogasnasas Help?
Yogasanas can be a tool to raise our consciousness to increase awareness of how we live. Not just through training our minds but directing our energies properly and following a system which is in line with the human system. Though this will only work if it is taught and practiced properly. As this is a subtle process, even the smallest of details make a big difference.
What is Surya Shakti?
Surya means ‘Sun’ and Shakti means ‘Power’ or ‘Energy’. Surya Shakti is a complete process, which is largely physical in nature. It is the dynamic form of the Sun practices which focuses on a the physical aspect to help one access more energy which isn’t usually accessible. This ancient yogic practice derived from Surya Kriya like all other Surya practices but is focused on the opposite aspect of Surya Kriya. Using an 18 step sequence within the yogic sun series it powers up the system in a balanced way. Often we are usually one way or the other. either we have too much energy and become hyper, meaning we’re not very focused and jump from one thing to the next in too much. Or we can be very calm and lack the intensity to make things happen and be decisive. Doing surya shakti takes the balancing nature of the sun practices and allows you to energise yourself so the energy you create can be used in a focused way. The best thing about the practice is that, it has the flexibility of time so you can do a certain minimum amount or build it up and keep increasing it to create more energy. It has that ability to make you into a real powerhouse in the world.
Difference between Surya Shakti & Surya Kriya?
Surya Kriya is the fundamental yogic process to the sun and is largely focused on the spiritual aspect so it is done much more slowly and gently. Surya Shakti is much more physical and build physical strength and fitness. It is focused on powering up the system using the ‘surya’ or yogi sun process in much more physical way.
Who is this Workshop Suitable for?
Suitable for all levels of experience from complete beginners to those with experience. The practice will be taught step-by-step as whole with detailed instructions.
After the Workshop
Surya Shakti is a home practice and you will learn all the steps in its entirety so that you are able to practice at home on your own. It is a practice which can fit easily into a daily routine with with flexible time commitment. There is ‘After-Support‘ will be available soon too. You always have opportunities to follow-up with questions regarding the practice via email or Whatsapp too. There is also a possibility of an additional session you can attend depending on the demand.
